Amanda Feeny

Amanda Feeny is a Consultant Solicitor with more than a decade’s experience gained at Legal 500-recognised, top-tier City and national firms. She advises and represents medical professionals and their indemnity providers in relation to complex disciplinary, regulatory and criminal matters within the healthcare sector.

Amanda has extensive experience defending doctors at all stages of GMC investigations involving misconduct, performance and health. She has significant expertise in preparing and conducting cases before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) and Interim Orders Tribunal (IOT), as well as related High Court litigation, judicial review and appeals to the Court of Appeal.

Amanda also advises doctors in relation to police investigations and criminal proceedings, particularly where there is an overlap with GMC regulatory proceedings. She has successfully defended medical professionals facing some of the most serious allegations, including gross negligence manslaughter, sexual assault, drugs offences and fraud.

She also represents doctors in relation to coroners’ inquests and NHS Trust disciplinary investigations, with experience in matters concerning procedural fairness, Trust disciplinary processes, performance management and remediation, risk mitigation and reputational protection.
