Why do I need a will?
By making a Will you can:
- ensure your assets are shared according to your wishes
- choose who you want to be your executors to administer your property and possessions
- preserve your assets for your family and future generations
- choose guardians for your children
- potentially mitigate any inheritance tax and/or care fees

How much does it cost to get a Will?
Fees are variable depending on the complexity of the documents and size of estate.
Starting prices are as follows:
Wills
Single Will from £150 for BMA members (£190 for non-members)
Mirror Will from £200 for BMA members (£250 for non-members)
We provide a fast efficient and friendly service at a discounted rate for BMA members
Our fixed fee includes:
- a telephone consultation with one of our legal experts
- detailed legal advice to ensure the Will achieves your needs
- drafting your Will and providing written advice and instructions
- free secure storage of your Will
How long will it take?
Normally a 30 minute conversation, but this is dependent upon the complexity of the issues at hand, after this the will is normally completed in a week.
What about the process of refinement?
The will be refined before it is signed if the client changes their mind about aspects of it.
Do my spouse or family need one?
Wills are useful throughout the family, if your spouse is mentioned in yours then we would definitely recommend one and we normally discuss with the spouse if this is the case.
We advise to leave assets down the family line as opposed to leaving them up.
With regard to mirror wills we advise that assets are split 50/50 either side of the will so that family members on both sides receive the appropriate amount.
